  1. How tf was that a Penalty? That Atletico Bloke went down with a Back Flip. He didn't even collapse. It was like a stunt performed for a movie. And 10 sec before Alisson made that save in Half 2, Oblak had made a crazier save to Keep out Liverpool. Doesn't anyone remember that? And it was the only time Alisson was tested in the entire half. The next chances for Atletico were either Set Pieces or that 1 attempt from the central position around the Liverpool box, deep in the Stoppage Time.

  2. Oyewale Ojo dijo:

Why would she say Liverpool were lucky? That's not fair and it's disrespectful to English football

Liverpool got by the skin of their teeth with this game, I mean seriously with all the things that went wrong for them in this game from Jota almost giving away a penalty which by the way I don’t think was one to begin with, to Liverpool getting lazy, complacent, lack of concentration or focus, or just down to plain old fatigue after going up 2-0 however you want to see it because this is pretty much the same team that played on the weekend, but this is also his preferred lineup usually as well which I think was a mistake to begin with he should have sprinkled a couple of fresh faces in the starting lineup. Also other than keita getting a goal that midfield overall did nothing to try and get the ball to Salah more often, you could see he was trying to get involved more but he couldn’t because they couldn’t get the ball to him let alone couldn’t create chances for him to score other than the first 25 minutes of the game. At times it felt like TAA was a liability because you can see Athletico Madrid were targeting that side often, all in all they won the game that’s all that matters and hopefully in the second leg they have a much better game.

Liverpool game played and won, that's it.

  5. louw saviour dijo:

Athletico, always try to cheat, they did not deserve the penalty for sure. Liverpool are a good team.Athletico must prepare for a tough game at Anfield.

Hey lady your Chelsea flag showing ?

  7. Gimenez dived and must have been shown yellow card for diving

  8. Christoffski dijo:

Giminez watched Jota the whole set piece and ran into him and fell theatrically. That's why the ref overturned it. You can't just run into people. Have to try and play the ball too

  9. Ivan Diaz dijo:

Unfair result, Atleti deserved at least a draw, possibly even more. But then again they did not deserve to win at Anfield last year, so I guess what goes around comes around. Plus at Milan we had a penalty and red card in our favour. Its football, sh¡t happens.

Lucky? Spanish fans are salty. Atletico were lucky not to concede more than 3 goals. Liverpool and Bayern are two of the best teams in UCL right now!

VAR is there to make correct decisions and that was not a penalty so it was a good decision from the ref.

Pretty cool that Celine Dion moonlights as a football commentator.

  12. If LFC wins LFC is lucky and had ATM won, it would have been because they deserved it!! We won because our team played their hearts out – and we have to thank our manager for that!! And loser Simeone ran away with his tail between his legs. He should stop telling his players to dive and kick the other team in their faces – somethings he has been doing all his playing career!!

  13. cjewelz dijo:

Dopey Hislop making dopey comments as usual. He should stick to being the comic relief and leave serious analysis to people who are capable. Jota tried to control his run in order not to foul Jimenez and Jimenez was going to take flight with even a feather-light touch. Hermoso barged Jota over.

  14. muzz anas dijo:

    Shaka , that was a dive…r u stupid…also, it was not lucky at all…we deserved to win…I can't believe this…

  15. Liverpool are always lucky against big teams

  16. Paul Whelan dijo:

Shaka hislop is really bitter towards Liverpool because of the fa cup final he lost. I wouldn't listen to anything that loser says

  17. What a bunch of morons. It was actually Athletico that got lucky to even score one goal as their goal was offside.

  18. Delboy0 dijo:

A referee mistake is Lamar being offside running in front of Matip after the ball was kicked towards goal, jumping over the ball at the last minute preventing Matip from seeing the ball and possibly clearing the ball before it goes in. Rules state an offside player becomes active if he blocks the opponent from seeing the ball or is in the way of the ball trajectory. Lamar was both and the goal was inexplicably given, after VAR took 5 minutes to make an incorrect decision.

  19. 68% possession lucky? Burnley must be so unlucky to be challenging for the title.

  20. We scored 3 goals away from home in a notoriously difficult place to go to. So no, it wasn't luck.

  21. Paul Roberts dijo:

"Feels like a home field decision" that's the best you can come up with??? Pitiful shaka

  22. They can neva let this go.
    Wats their problem
They are on Liverpool's case for winning against a very strong side but shower praises on Man City for winning against a lesser side.
    Weldone "pundits"

  23. Sledge Dog dijo:

One of the biggest robberies in modern football.

  24. Hitman Rock dijo:

Yes they are absolutely lucky….if there is no red card there is no way liverpool win that match

  25. Funny how rival fans are trying to focus on Liverpool’s negatives to downplay Liverpool’s impressive result . Liverpool are the only team to beat AM by 3 goals in their own turf. Liverpool are the only team on an unbeaten run of 22 games in all comps in Europe . Liverpool lucky ? You make your own luck !! . Liverpool are favs for the CL and the PL this season and they are not even at top gear right now

  26. lol The Hate on liverpool is unreal… They came to a hostile place and grinded out a a good result, thats what it is.

  27. Undefeated in the BPL & UCL…they’ll still be callin it luck after Sunday ?

  28. FF TECH INFO dijo:

Yeah but one more time Liverpool have to beat them buy lucky

  29. Inspite of Liverpool defense weaknesses !

Salah will lead Liverpool to both league and champions league triumph this season.

  30. Kate Ground dijo:

So it was luck there player had a brain fart and took out Jota or that the ref saw that there PK was not one because the guy fell down with zero contact

I remember the championship year and people forget so fast early that year we were winning games like this and even getting late goals to win games and they called that lucky it was not its the sign of a good team when you play bad you still win

  31. Vinay Kumar dijo:

Simple explanation: Espn holds rights for LaLiga.

  32. Ian S dijo:

We won….get over it….and on to the next game.

  33. abdul rahman dijo:

Bottom line. Liverpool won regardless. Everything needs luck

  34. Wishva krish dijo:

It’s not a pen for ATM
but, it’s not a red for Griezmann

  35. Where do they get these pundits from???

  36. I looked at the stats and don't see where liverpool were lucky to have won that match

  37. Let's keep on been lucky every week. As long as we win. Rubbish.

  38. Umair Abbasi dijo:

Comon guys result only matters liverpool win thats true

  39. Raul Aleman dijo:

Sooooooo!!!??? How did they survive 40 minutes if THEY LOST!!!!!!

  40. Don't agree with Shaka! That was not a penalty all day long. Gimenez pretty much dived after feeling the slighest contact from Jota. Especially noticeable after seeing it in slow mo.

  41. ATM Lucky coz….Van Dijik Not in form.
