the bottom line is he's 31 and this could be his last big payday. and he did win the league with Atletico and was an important player for them so he did accomplish what he came there to do. nothing wrong with wanting to go back home and make more money before your career is up.

Never understood why English players struggle to adapt to Spanish culture when Spain is a better country in literally every single way. Better food, better drink, better weather, better culture, better architecture, better health system and better looking people.
