On this week’s Euro Transfer Talk, we take a look at Luis Suarez’s proposed move to Atletico Madrid from Barcelona, with the former Liverpool striker having agreed personal terms with the La Liga rivals – however, a last minute intervention from Josep Bartomeu could make the deal more complicated.
Meanwhile, Chelsea look to have wrapped up the signing of Rennes star Edouard Mendy, in the hope he can provide a viable solution to their Kepa problem. Manchester United could finally have solved their left-back dilemma too, with a deal for Porto’s Alex Telles expected to be announced this week.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has apparently told Luka Jovic he can leave the Spanish champions on loan, while Barcelona are looking to loan out Riqui Puig, and Alvaro Morata has made a shock return to Juventus, where he will link back up with former teammates Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo as they look to recover from their Champions League failures under Andrea Pirlo.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are keen on Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira, who is now longer wanted at the Emirates, while Gunners fans are hopeful this could also help in the club’s pursuit of Thomas Partey.
