The worst of the referee mistakes:
– Cleats-up tackle on Neymar that drew blood. Not even called a foul, although the defender didn't touch the ball.
– Non-call on Messi handball when he starts his run just before Suárez's goal.
– Penalty call for Gamez's dive; Messi touched him but it wasn't anything to make him fall over like that.
– Non-penalty-call for that Atlético defender who, at a run, slams Rakitić — who has position under where the ball is coming down — while wrapping his arm around Rakitić's neck.
– Non-penalty-call when Neymar gets body-slammed in the box near the end.
Better refereeing would have subtracted 1 Atlético goal and 1 Barcelona goal, and added 2 Barcelona probable-goals; final would have been 4-0. Plus at least 1 more yellow card for Atlético (for the cleats-up tackle on Neymar) and 1 less for Barcelona (for Suárez, for arguing after the slam on Rakitić).
